Title: The Shattered Voice
Domains: Disharmony, Betrayal
Creators: Vorthar and Zoroth
Pantheon: The Nyx

Description

Malikar, the God of Discord, is the whisper in the council chamber, the smirk in the knife’s betrayal, and the voice that turns kin against kin. Born from the splintered intentions of Vorthar, the Dark Weaver and the cruel insight of Zoroth, the Hollow Prince, Malikar is known as The Shattered Voice, a deity who thrives not in destruction, but in division—where order breaks and bonds fracture.

He is depicted as a two-faced figure, one side bearing a charming, youthful mask and the other a cracked, screaming visage. His form constantly shifts, parts of his body fragmenting and re-forming as though reality struggles to hold him together. He is draped in asymmetrical robes of clashing fabrics, stitched from stolen banners and torn cloaks of fallen houses. His voice is said to never echo the same way twice.

Followers

Malikar’s followers are saboteurs, spies, anarchists, and silver-tongued instigators. His cults, known as the Fractured Choir, exist within noble courts, rival guilds, and broken families—sowing conflict wherever harmony once stood. His priests do not preach in temples; they whisper in taverns, accuse in marketplaces, and poison minds with carefully placed truths.

Some serve him knowingly, relishing the chaos they spread. Others believe they follow justice, unaware they are simply threads in Malikar’s tapestry of division.

Rituals and Offerings

  1. The Splintered Oath: A rite performed by betrayers, in which an oath is made aloud and then immediately broken—usually sealed with a symbolic act of treachery like a poisoned gift, a false promise, or a secret exposed.

  2. The Broken Chain: Followers destroy a token of unity—a ring, a flag, a family crest—casting its shattered pieces into dark water while offering a prayer to Malikar to bless the division they have caused.

  3. Offerings: Shards of broken heirlooms, ink-stained letters of betrayal, the severed locks of lovers or friends—anything once tied to unity, now severed.

Sigils and Symbols

Malikar’s symbol is a mask split down the center, with one half smiling and the other screaming, framed by broken chains. It represents the dual nature of betrayal and the beauty of chaos. His sigil is carved into shattered stone, painted in blood upon doors of treachery, or woven into false banners meant to incite war.

Additional Details

The Discordborn, those said to carry Malikar’s touch, are charismatic and divisive—natural leaders who seem to gather followers only to drive them against each other. These individuals often rise in times of civil unrest, guiding rebellion, revolution, or collapse—only to vanish when unity is most needed.

Malikar does not destroy with blade or fire. He destroys with doubt, with envy, with the subtle cruelty of misaligned hearts. To him, the fall of an empire from a whispered secret is a song more beautiful than any crafted by mortals.
