Title: The Tainted Tongue
Domains: Dark Influence
Creators: Vorthar and Zoroth
Pantheon: The Nyx

Description

Karash, the God of Corruption, is the slow rot that seeps into hearts and thrones alike—the whispered lie, the poisoned trust, the temptation that coils around ambition and decays it from within. Spawned from the schemes of Vorthar, the Dark Weaver and the manipulative will of Zoroth, the Hollow Prince, Karash is known as The Tainted Tongue, the master of subversion, deceit, and moral erosion.

Karash is depicted as a slender, serpentine figure cloaked in tattered silk and gold, his many-ringed fingers clutching scrolls, chains, or blades depending on who he seeks to sway. His skin appears sickly pale and veined with creeping black, and his eyes are mismatched—one gold, one weeping shadow. His voice is said to be soft and compelling, dripping with poisoned charm, impossible to forget.

Followers

Karash’s followers are spies, double agents, usurpers, and manipulators—those who prefer influence to outright violence. His cults move silently in courts, guilds, and governments, turning allies into enemies, and truth into weapon. His clergy are known as The Veiled Word, a network of whisperers and deceivers who spread misinformation and chaos in Karash’s name.

Many of his followers do not even realize they serve him until it is too late, drawn into schemes so layered that even they cannot tell where their will ends and his begins.

Rituals and Offerings

  1. The Whispered Pact: A secret oath taken in shadow, sealed by pricking the tongue with a poisoned thorn. The oath binds the speaker to silence and betrayal, and cannot be broken without severe consequence.

  2. The Mirror Rite: Performed in solitude, followers stare into darkened mirrors and speak their darkest truths aloud. If Karash listens, the mirror clouds and whispers back a secret in return.

  3. Offerings: Twisted contracts, forged documents, tongues of liars, or the poisoned cup—objects used to corrupt others are burned or buried at his hidden shrines.

Sigils and Symbols

Karash’s symbol is a serpent coiled around a masked face, representing hidden truth and venomous persuasion. It is etched into rings, embroidered into collars, and sometimes carved into teeth or under the tongue. It is rare to see openly—when it appears, it usually means someone’s trust is already rotting.

Additional Details

Those Called the Coiled, Karash’s favored, are individuals of immense charm and persuasive power, capable of turning kings into pawns with a few whispered words. Many lead double lives or rise to power through deceit, not realizing their rise is guided by the god of corruption himself.

Karash teaches that no wall is stronger than a doubt, and no sword more fatal than a broken oath. Where truth is weak, his will prevails.
